Who we are

Michael Galli and Jacopo Bottoni studied at ETH Zurich and founded dotted space in Zürich in September 2026. We build the projects on this site ourselves, and bring other people in where a project needs them.

The two of us

Michael Galli

Co-founder · CTO · MSc Systems Biology, ETH Zurich

Michael trained in systems biology at ETH Zurich: designing experiments, and classifying what they show. He builds the data pipelines behind RE.NUEVO, which collect, clean and match the listings of every Swiss marketplace, and RE.ORDER, which turns photographs of bookshelves into an inventory that knows where each book is standing, is mostly his work. Before dotted space he founded and ran a non-profit.

Jacopo Bottoni

Co-founder · CEO · MSc Physics, ETH Zurich

Jacopo trained as a physicist at ETH Zurich, in astrophysics: statistics, and drawing conclusions from noisy observations. He built RE.NUEVO’s pricing model, which sets each new listing against comparable ones, and he leads sales and our sustainability work, RE.DUCE among it. He works with Michael on RE.ELS and contributes to RE.ORDER.

RE.DUCE: Jacopo Bottoni, who leads it, and Michael Galli, with a growing team: a mathematician, an ecologist and an economist are joining, so that RE.DUCE can take on consulting that crosses disciplines.
